My Handsome Horse

Dante has been doing pretty well. I think he has picked up some weight and I think I'm going to keep him on his current diet.  I ordered him a Smartpak with some herbal anti-inflammatories and a joint/ligament support supplement.  I'm really excited to start him on it, and hopefully it will help his healing process.  He is about a month out from having his check up x-ray, and I really hope there is progress so that he will be able to go be a horse again soon!  We have continued with our hand walks everyday, and I turn him out for 15-20 minutes every other day or so so that he can move around freely and lay down if he feels good enough to do so.

I wormed him today with ivermectin/pyrantel and he wasn't too happy with me!

The team raised money today by helping set up and clean up the equestrian center for the Muriel B Gill barn dedication.  It was a really cool event and I"m glad I got to be a part of it!

I got invited to attend the Rollison Ranch Equestrian holiday party in 3 weeks, and I'm so excited they included me!  Hopefully I can get a ride there and get to attend, because it's only about 15 minutes away from Davis where the party is going to be held, but I don't have my car.

Anyways, I think that is all the updating I have for now!

Dante turned 20 on April 12th and we celebrated by taking pictures, seeing each other twice in one day, and by eating a lot of carrots and apples! The day before his birthday was rough. I showed up

Los Lagos Lesson & Dante Update

I rode at Los Lagos a week ago on March 22nd, it was such a great ride! I rode Heather Kelly's horse Baby and we had so much fun. Our flat work was basic but I worked a lot on getting her in a frame
